Congress Leaders Freed Following Protest at PM Modi’s Residence

Indiabreakingdaily.com – ప రధ న మ ద ఇ ట – Delhi police have released Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi from custody after they were detained during a demonstration near the Prime Minister’s official residence. The authorities freed all protesters who had been taken into custody during the incident.

Rahul Gandhi was released from the Chhatrasal Stadium police station, while Priyanka Gandhi was freed from the Mandir Marg police station. Sonia Gandhi traveled to the Mandir Marg police station to meet her daughter following the release.

Concerns Raised Over Police Conduct

Widespread criticism has emerged regarding the police’s aggressive behavior during the arrests. Congress MPs questioned why legislators were being treated with such suppression, wondering what would happen to ordinary citizens protesting. Several leaders accused the Prime Minister of acting like an autocrat.

If the Leader of the Opposition wishes to speak in Parliament, he is not allowed to do so. If we seek permission to stage a protest, that permission is denied. So we went to a place where they least expected us.

Rahul Gandhi Injured During Detention

Rahul Gandhi sustained injuries while being forcibly removed from the protest site. Blood flowed from his nose during the incident. Despite the injury, police did not release him immediately. They held his hands and legs firmly before placing him inside a van. Video footage showing Rahul’s bleeding nose spread rapidly across social media platforms.

After the arrests, police transported Rahul Gandhi along with all other protesters to Chhatrasal Stadium. Notably, authorities failed to call a medical professional during this process. Rahul’s personal security personnel provided necessary medical assistance to him.

Some opposition leaders who had been protesting at Lok Kalyan Marg and detained by Delhi Police were also brought to Chhatrasal Stadium shortly before the releases.
